The Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation is dedicated to achieving excellence in providing advocacy and culturally appropriate services to meet the social, cultural and economic needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Illawarra Region.

Our vision is for future generations to live in a just, unified and caring society in which Aboriginal people are recognised as the first Australians, our culture is strong, our people and traditions are respected, our elders are honoured and we share the resources of Australia equally with people of all races.

The activities of the Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation focus on 4 main strategic objectives:

•  To provide a public voice for our people
•  To provide culturally appropriate services to the unemployed, the aged and the needy
•  To reduce our dependence on government funding through business ownership
•  To preserve and strengthen our culture
