The Shell Cove Community Centre has been constructed as a temporary building for the use of the residents of Shell Cove. The building will be available for use until the permanent Community Centre is constructed at the Boatharbour precinct. The Centre is for the use of community members and their groups, activities and clubs.

The Shell Cove Community Centre is situated on the corner of Southern Cross Boulevarde and Hinchinbrook Drive, Shell Cove. The Centre is located in a central position to the whole estate. There is a car parking area adjacent and the Centre is accessible to people with a disability.

The Centre has now been open since June 2005 and is for hire to residents for meetings and activities. The activities that are conducted at the Centre presently include Euchre, Craft group, Social group, Heartmoves - gentle exercises, Playgroup, Felt Making, Bahai Community, Zumba, Garden Club and a number of other activities

Hire charges will apply with a two tier system of, for profit groups and not for profit groups. The building consists of three large open areas, office, kitchen, activity room and a smaller room. All users will have access to and use of the kitchen facilities. There is an outdoor undercover area where meetings may also be held with a barbeque available for use. There is some storage space available but this is quite limited and groups will have to provide their own cupboard.
