Shellharbour Museum is staffed by curator Tamara Hynd, with help from volunteers from the Tongarra Heritage Society, who are always available to help you with your research.
The Shellharbour Museum showcases the history of our area, using a wealth of information and items including artefacts, photographs, historical documents and sketches. The Museum stages a major exhibition each year based on the National Trust Annual Theme.
The Tongarra Heritage Society Inc welcomes membership to the society. Application forms are available from the secretary and at Shellharbour Museum, Shellharbour Civic Centre.
The Aims and Objectives of the society are to identify, preserve and promote our local heritage and actively support the functioning of Shellharbour Museum, liaise with local council and libraries and special interest groups.
